Ta-Dah Mom! Taking you from where you are - To where you want to be

I love to knit. Of course, now I love to blog. I haven't knitted in two days but that's okay. I finished a wedding present and don't really know what to cast on next anyway. The above photo is of the cloths I made for the bride and groom.

Maybe now's the time to do a turkey or a Christmas tree or something.

Sometimes, as I knit I pray. I consider how the Lord knit us together in our mother's wombs. I begin to understand what fearfully and wonderfully made means. It's a fearful thing to lose a bunch of stitches. I had one pattern that was so troublesome to me I ripped it out four times...then threw away the pattern. God never throws away the pattern.

Stitch upon stitch. Row upon row. Cast on....cast all my cares on HIm. Bind off....Bind Satan and all his deception OFF. Careful stitches. Drop one? More? Pick them up or start again. It's ok.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made. I'm careful about my knitting. I believe God is too. I think it's wonderful when I finish a piece and it's done well. God is pleased with His creation as well. He said it was "Good".

We don't have to be perfect or super, we can be good. It is enough.

Wow, Paula, I'm impressed. You say you're learning and you've already done a pair of socks? I'm proud of a couple pairs of mittens and a tassle cap for my dh. Tossle cap? I'm not sure which way he calls it, just a plain knit cap to keep his head warm.
I'm so glad you were encouraged in knitting, praying and love.
Blessings, Joyful

Thank yo for your inspiring look on knitting and the encouragement it brings. I have taken up knitting as one of my "six new things to learn in 2009". I have completed my first pair of socks and am finishing up a pair of felted booties. Thanks to you, my knitting will now be a spiritual labor of love.
:)Paula
